Integrated Material Handling Solution: AGV Trolleys Matched with Overhead Cranes for Workshop Automation

During the automatic transformation of modern factories, single lifting equipment only handles vertical hoisting. Cross-area material transfer still relies on manual forklifts and trolleys, creating waiting gaps between working procedures and slowing down overall production rhythm. Many manufacturing and metallurgy plants adopt combined sets of cranes and intelligent transfer vehicles to form full-process logistics chains covering raw material storage, processing hoisting and finished product delivery.

Drawing on experience from multiple automated factory projects, Henan Huagong Industrial Group develops integrated matching solutions combining overhead cranes and intelligent AGV electric trolleys. We select suitable overhead/gantry cranes and track/trackless AGVs according to workshop layout, material weight and transfer distance. The whole system supports signal linkage: AGVs automatically receive materials after cranes finish hoisting and lowering, cutting down waiting time between procedures and manual operations.

Adjustments can be made for different working conditions: standard room-temperature AGVs paired with single-girder overhead cranes for general machinery workshops; heat-insulated AGVs and heat-adapted crane accessories for high-temperature metallurgy workshops; compact KBK light cranes and mini AGVs for narrow assembly stations. All equipment can connect to central workshop control systems for real-time operation monitoring and fault early warning, matching automatic factory renovation projects.

Our group owns complete production lines to manufacture cranes, AGV trolleys and supporting parts including wheel sets, drums and electrical control components in one stop, removing the need to cooperate with multiple suppliers and simplifying procurement procedures. All equipment finishes linkage debugging before delivery, with complete export compliance documents for domestic new factories and overseas automated projects in Central Asia and Southeast Asia.

Customers with automatic factory upgrading plans may send workshop drawings and material circulation parameters for customized integrated lifting & transfer solutions. On-site demonstrations of linked equipment are available for factory visits.
