550t hydro-generator stator lifting solution for a large hydropower station in Southwest China, featuring high precision and maximum safety.
Project Background
The hydropower station has a unit capacity of 700MW. The hydro-generator stator has an outer diameter of 12.4m and a total weight of approximately 550t. The entire lifting operation had to be completed within a narrow powerhouse space.
Solution
- Custom 2×300t dual-trolley overhead crane with parallel synchronized lifting, rated capacity 600t
- Laser ranging + encoder dual-position feedback, dual-crane synchronization accuracy ±3mm
- Hoisting mechanism with double-layer winding + equalizing pulley design, wire rope life +50%
- Certified to FEM 1Am + ISO 4301, safety factor ≥8
Results
- Stator lifted successfully on first attempt, alignment deviation <2mm
- Total operation time 45 minutes, 20 minutes shorter than planned
- Project received "zero accidents, zero defects" commendation
